Source: lornamooseThing to do this New Year:
- Be kinder to yourself. Don’t be so hard on yourself if things don’t go particularly right and completely wrong. Take a deep breath and know that the problem will be resolved if you slow down and take the time.
- Be proud of your work. I know this is hard especially since we’re comparing ourselves to each other on a daily basis. But know that you’re improving everyday and that it takes practice to get to where you want to be. Look at your work with pride and happiness and know that you’re doing your best.
- Seek help if and when you need it. There’s nothing shameful about need assistance. Especially when it makes your life so much easier. Get the help that you need.
- Be yourself! Don’t change yourself for anybody. I know it’s hard because we feel like if we alter ourselves, people will like us more. But that’s not the case. The right people will come to you when you’re your brilliant self. Because the right people will love you for you.
- Take care of yourself. Mentally, emotionally and physically.
- Put yourself first. It’s not a crime to place your problems before others’ sometimes. Most of the time, we need to solve our problems before we help others.
- Have fun and live life. Take new opportunities and chances. Speak to people you’ve never spoken to before. Try something new. Learn a language. Learn how to draw. Learn how to fly a kite!
2018 is about new beginnings and I know it will be a great year for all of us. We’ve gotten this far with all that has happened in the past two years. This is going to be our break and we’re going to be fine. It’s going to be an awesome year and we’ll make it so too.
Happy New Year!
